What can you tell us about this photo?
Yesterday’s photo was taken from Sulphur Point, Lake Rotorua, with Hinemoa Point in the near distance on the right. Hinemoa swam out to Mokoia Island at night from here, to meet her forbidden lover Tutanekai. She later recovered from her swim by soaking in the hot pool on Mokoia Island, now called Hinemoa’s pool.
