Yesterday’s view through the window was the Bertrand Road bridge, crossing the Waitara river. Links the farming areas of Huirangi and Tikorangi near Waitara. Built in 1897, the bridge was rebuilt 1927, then closed to traffic in 2004 but refurbished and reopened in 2006 to restricted traffic. Note the yellow poles.
