Want to Pay for an Annual BFD Subscription via Bank Deposit?

Every now and then I get a request from a reader who wants to support The BFD but doesn’t want to use a credit or debit card or the payment platforms Paypal or Stripe.

I am aware that due to the age demographic of our readership there are many of you who much prefer depositing money into a bank account so I have thought long and hard about it and I am prepared to try an experiment.

Want to deposit payment for an annual subscription into our bank account? From today we are starting a trial to see if there is a demand for this kind of service. Image credit The BFD

Until now my reason for not accepting bank deposits is efficiency and lack of functionality. Banks can set up automatic payments and direct debits but they cannot automatically expire or re-activate a subscription depending on whether or not a payment has gone through or not. That is the key reason why we use payment platforms like Stripe and Paypal because they offer that functionality.

With almost 1,000 subscriptions to process, automation is crucial to the smooth management of our customers’ subscriptions.

While I cannot offer to manually create monthly subscriptions for readers I am prepared to trial manually creating annual subscriptions for readers.

It is a trial because I do not know how great the demand will be.

It will be well worth my time and effort if the majority of the requested annual subscriptions are Bronze or Silver level.

If you would like me to create a manual annual subscription for you you need to provide me with the following details:

  1. Tell me which level of annual subscription you want.
  2. Tell me when you have made payment into our account and ideally send me a screenshot of the payment.
  3. Tell me what e-mail you want linked to your account
  4. Tell me what username you want
  5. Tell me what you want as your password

**I will e-mail you the bank account details when you make contact

I will create your subscription as soon as I am able and will e-mail you once your subscription has been activated.

You can contact me sb at thebfd.co.nz
