We Don’t Owe Africa Jack

Africans enslaved each other for centuries, then took our aid money for decades.

How long before we finally admit it and send the UN to the same unlamented dustbin of history as its predecessor, the League of Nations? The League of Nations was disbanded for the simple fact that the outbreak of WWII showed that it had utterly failed in its primary purpose.

The UN has similarly utterly failed in its primary purpose: ensuring international peace, not to say protecting the sovereignty of its member states. How many UNHCR workers do we have to catch out joining in Hamas’ October 7 orgy of rape and murder? How many times must UN agencies be caught peddling anti-Semitic propaganda in the guise of ‘schoolbooks’? Or UN ‘peacekeepers’ trafficking children for sex? Not to mention the WHO’s complicity in China’s unleashing of a deliberately engineered bio-weapon on the world?

Now, the UN is being used – yet again – as a hypocritical, cry-bully pulpit for mendicant Third World hypocrites.

The United Nations General Assembly has adopted the transatlantic slave trade classified as the “most serious crime against humanity”. A resolution introduced by Ghana was approved by 123 states in the largest UN body, three rejected it, and 52 abstained. Israel, the USA and Argentina voted no. Germany was among the abstentions.

Just by way of context, Ghana today still has nearly three slaves per 1000 people. Historically, Ghana had an outsized and especially brutal role in the transatlantic slave trade. More than 40 slave castles and dungeons were built along the Ghanaian coast.

That was all just a pimple on the festering backside of slavery within Africa. Maybe 10 million people were transported in the transatlantic slave trade, but nearly double that were traded between African states. The inter-African slave trade went on much, much longer, too – predating the transatlantic slave trade by centuries, and outliving it by centuries more. Slavery remained legal in many African countries well into the 20th century. Semi-legally, it continues almost unabated today.

So perhaps these Third World hypocrites might want to shut up and clean up their own backyards first.

But, no, as always with these grifters, it’s the begging bowl first and foremost.

The trade in enslaved people from Africa and their racially motivated enslavement should be assessed as the “most serious crime against humanity” “due to the profound rupture in world history, its extent, its duration, its systemic nature, its brutality and its consequences that continue to this day,” the resolution stated. The resolution calls on all UN member states to work for reparations for injustices suffered.

It always come back to the gibsmedat.

Racially motivated enslavement? Systemic? Brutality?

They might want to take that up with the Arab nations that followed their prophet’s example to the letter, brutally enslaving the abeed (an epithet Muslims still use for blacks, today). At least the transatlantic slave owners didn’t routinely castrate their black male slaves, or put a premium on light-skinned female sex-slaves.

Many Muslim countries are still at it.

Funny how the corrupt, venal UN doesn’t want to discuss any of that.

The country that received among the lowest percentage of African slaves in history (as black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr points out, the US received just three per cent of transported slaves) certainly isn’t having any of the UN’s bullshit.

US representative Dan Negrea criticized the resolution as “highly problematic in many respects,” as stated on the United Nations website. The US government must remind the General Assembly again that the UN exists to ensure international peace and security, Negrea said, not “to advance specific interests and agendas.” The US would not recognize a right to reparations for historical misconduct “that was not illegal under international law at the time it occurred.”

Who cares about that, when there’s a lying narrative to be peddled, and yet more money Africans never earned to be grifted off the West?

Tell you what: just call all that ‘debt forgiveness’ that was so fashionable a few years ago ‘reparations’, and call it quits.
