We Tried to Warn Them

Warnings that lockdowns would lead to an explosion of cancers were simply ignored by the Covid class.

‘If only we'd been able to scan you two years ago.’ The Good Oil. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

Don’t say we didn’t warn them. I mean, I’m just a humble journalist, not a ‘virology expert’, or whatever self-promoting, glorified lab tech the media wanted us to believe was an “expert” during the pandemic, but even I could put read widely and put two-and-two together. Way back in May 2020, I drew readers’ attention to warnings from cancer specialists that Covid lockdowns would lead to an explosion in cancers.

Cancer Research UK warned that thousands of cancers were being missed every week because lockdowns prevented patients from going to their GP. Many more were missing vital screenings and treatments. Hospitals had plenty of time for nurses to make catchy TikTok videos but stopped carrying out diagnostic tests and early intervention operations on known cancers.

A study by University College London estimated as many as 18,000 extra deaths from cancer in the next year, as a direct result of measures taken to ‘flatten the curve’ of the Chinese virus.

Within a few months, the predictions were growing more dire. Australian researchers projected an 84 per cent rise in cancers by 2050.

Updated research suggests that, if anything, they were too optimistic.

Cancer cases and deaths among men are expected to surge by 2050, according to a study published Monday, with large increases among men 65 and older.

For the study, published in the journal Cancer, researchers from Australia analyzed cases and deaths from 30 types of cancer in 185 countries and territories in 2022 to make projections for 2050.

Add another 10 per cent to the previous estimate.

Cancer deaths were projected to rise from 5.4 million in 2022 to 10.5 million in 2050, an increase of 93%. Deaths among men 65 and older were projected to increase by 117%.

Don’t hold your breath, though, waiting for the MSM to admit that the lockdowns they pushed so fanatically had anything to do with it.

In the study, researchers analyzed 2022 data about cancer cases and deaths from 30 different types of cancer in 185 countries. As in 2022, lung cancer is projected to remain the leading cancer type for both cases and deaths by 2050, with both cases and deaths increasing by greater than 87 percent.

The study projected cases of mesothelioma to increase the most between 2022 and 2050, and the biggest increase in deaths to come from prostate cancer.

Between 2022 and 2050, the percentage increase in cancer cases is projected to range from 50 percent in more developed countries to nearly 140 percent in less developed countries. The increase in deaths is projected to range from about 64 percent in more developed countries to 142 percent in less developed countries.

Whatever you do, don’t mention the War on Covid.

Although we haven’t found a single reason for the increase, one thing is certain: we have a generational problem. Facts are stubborn things, and these alarming statistics demand answers. The 50-and-older population has benefitted from efforts to reduce cancer deaths.

Efforts that were thrown out for two long years.

The evidence shows that we can save lives by detecting cancer early, when treatment is more effective, less intensive and far less expensive. Regular, guideline-based screenings for the most common cancers, such as breast, colorectal and lung cancers, give the best chance for early detection. Screenings for cervical and colorectal cancers can also detect warning signs before cancer develops, which aids in disease prevention.

Screening that came to a grinding halt for at least two years as the elite classes went into a demented panic over a respiratory virus that turned out to be nowhere near as lethal as ‘expert’ ‘predictions’ hysterically claimed.

Far be it for those same ‘experts’ to admit what they did.

The politicians, particularly those on the right, with the exception of ACT, need to realise that those who put them in power did so in the belief the necessary courage was there to fix this festering sore. We are now left in doubt and that is not good enough.

National could, under urgency, progress Seymour’s bill to second reading and vote it down, but this would put immense strain on the coalition, which is supposed to operate based on good faith and Cabinet consensus. An early election could be provoked, leading to National bleeding votes to ACT.
