Welcome to the Crime Capital of Aus

Like so many left-run US cities, Melbourne is becoming an anarchic hellhole.

‘The Running of the Machetes’ is Melbourne’s latest sport. The Good Oil. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

Is Melbourne, the Portland, Oregon, of Australia? Like left-run big cities in the US, Australia’s wokest city is reaping the outcome of over a decade of Labor rule, in the form of near-anarchy and spiralling crime.

When the Victorian parliament passes the so-called “treaty” legislation it will set up a First Peoples’ Assembly – effectively a First Peoples’ parliament – with vast powers that can be used to greatly increase the cost and difficulty of managing the state.

Given Victoria’s already deep crisis, it is even possible that our second-largest state will become ungovernable because of the demands to be placed on the public service and government authorities.

Victoria’s current challenges include looming much higher power prices because of the explosion in the cost of renewable facilities and a Victorian government-created shortage of gas.

Melbourne is also the crime capital of Australia and Victoria has more unemployment and debt than any other mainland state.

Victoria’s international credit rating is already collapsing. Where being downgraded from a AAA rating in the ’90s was regarded as a disaster, the state is on the brink of scraping even lower than its current AA+.

One can only imagine the horror that will take place in the New York-based credit rating agencies when they discover the power of the First Peoples’ Assembly and the costs involved in running a quasi-second parliament. The risk of a substantial downgrading in Victoria’s credit ratings is increased.

Meanwhile, Victorians are reaping the whirlwind of what they just keep voting for. As I reported recently, major retail chains are weighing up quitting the state because the high price of rampant crime just isn’t worth trading there any more. Insurers are taking note, too.

In Victoria, every 44 minutes an insurer receives a call about a car theft or an attempted car break-in,” Insurance Council CEO Andrew Hall said.

“Sadly, this is record-breaking. I don’t think it’s the gold medal Victoria wants.”

In the 12 months to June 2025, there was a 59 per cent jump in motor theft claims made in Victoria, totalling $223 million.

And it’s very much a ‘Victoria’ thing. Every other state and territory has recorded a drop in car theft claims, bar one. Even then, NSW only recorded a modest six per cent jump, one-tenth of Victoria’s. Other crime is also spiralling.

Last month, data from the Crime Statistics Agency showed Victoria recorded a staggering 638,640 criminal incidents in the 12 months to June 30, 2025 – a rise of just under 16 per cent.

Youth crime is also at a record high. You know the ‘youths’ they mean.

A special African court similar to the state’s Aboriginal courts was investigated by justice experts and community leaders as a way to drive down youth crime and rates of incarceration among African-Australian teens.

Remember when Victoria Police solemnly swore that Africans weren’t over-represented in crime statistics? The legacy media are still trying to lie by omission, hoping that no one will notice.

Police are investigating a clash between two groups armed with machetes at a Melbourne shopping centre on Friday night […]

Vision captured by people at the shopping centre not involved in the affray showed several people taking swipes at each other with machetes.

Things have come to a pretty pass when we have to turn to neo-Nazi websites for the unvarnished truth.

Machete-wielding African gangs have clashed at a shopping centre in Broadmeadows, Melbourne, with one of the armed thugs even filming himself confronting another balaclava-clad rival.

The video shows the male repeatedly saying “come on” in a foreign accent as the pair swing their blades at each other inside Broadmeadows Central shopping centre at about 7.20pm on Friday evening.

The other masked African also appeared to be filming.

I hate that I have to turn to The Noticer for the plain truth on this stuff. But, this is the world the legacy media have created: when the fourth estate do nothing but tell lies for the powerful, the Nazis are some of the only ones stating the facts.
And the political class just keeps on lying to our faces.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has acknowledged “we got it wrong” on previous changes to bail laws, but has guaranteed the Melbourne CBD “is safe” despite a wild police chase through the city on Tuesday.

A man armed with a gun was arrested in Melbourne’s CBD after police chased him through morning peak-hour traffic on Tuesday morning.

What a world. And Victorians keep voting for more of it.
