Who Bailed This Creep Yet Again?

And why aren’t they being held accountable?

He wouldn’t harm a fly: a judge, probably. The Good Oil. Image by Lushington Brady.

As I’ve often urged, Put Him Up at Yours, Then, Your Honour: if judges and bureaucrats are really so confident when they dole out endless bail to repeat criminals, then they should be required to put their money where their well-fed mouths are. If a judge really thinks a rapist or jihadi is no threat to the general public, then they can prove it by putting them up in the spare room.

Failing that, if they turn loose a recidivist criminal who promptly goes on to reoffend, then they should be sentenced alongside them. Even forced to share a cell with them.

Then we might see less horrors like this scumbag.

Timothy Richards, 39, has been charged with two counts of rape and one count each of aggravated burglary and threatening to kill, after alleged incidents in Hoppers Crossing, in Melbourne’s southwest, this week.

He faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

And promptly applied for bail. Well, why wouldn’t he: he was already on three counts of bail when he carried out his next disgusting crimes. In fact, he’d only been set loose by soft-touch judges again, bare days before he went on the all-too-predictable rampage again.

Police allege Richards, who reportedly has a 22-page criminal history, broke into a woman’s home on Thursday morning, while armed with a knife.

He allegedly raped her twice while also telling her: ‘Shut up b*h, shut up s*t, I will kill you if you make a noise,’ the court heard, Nine News reported.

Later, on Thursday night, police allege Richards tried to abduct a 21-year-old woman who was waiting at a bus stop […]

The young woman was able to escape after a witness allegedly intervened.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t a judge racing up to plead, don’t lock him up, he’s just had a hard life, that’s all!

But Richards was far from deterred.

On Friday morning, police allege Richards followed a staff member into Mossfiel Primary School where he put her in a headlock and raped her shortly before students were due to arrive.

The 39-year-old was arrested later that morning.

Astonishingly, bail was refused for once.

The court heard Richards has a 22-page criminal history and was already on three counts of bail.

He will face court again in November. Who wants to take bets on a tilty-head judge feeling sorry for him and giving him a gentle slap on the wrist?
