Why on Earth Would Florida Need to Protect Parents’ Rights?

This is not normal. The BFD. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

Why are the left so infuriated by Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill? Why are they lying and calling it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill? Nowhere in its text will you find the words “gay”, “homosexual”, or “transgender”.

What the bill does say is that it “Reinforce[s] the fundamental right of parents to make decisions regarding the upbringing and control of their children in a specified manner”. It also prohibits schools from withholding information from parents about their children. Finally, it prohibits schools from “encouraging classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels or in a specified manner”.

All of this seems common sense. After all, there’s a word for the type of people who want to control children, encourage them to keep secrets from their parents, and have secret talks about sexual orientation and gender identity. We call those people groomers.

But surely that’s not going on in our schools?

A transgender first grade teacher told a group of kindergartners, first graders, and second graders that when babies are born, doctors “guess” if they’re boys or girls — but the teacher added that “sometimes the doctor is wrong” and “makes an incorrect guess.”

That’s right — this “man” wants children to think that doctors just “guess” if a baby is a boy or a girl. (The penis, or lack thereof, is usually a dead giveaway.)

Lest you think that this was a one-off aberration, Tranny Teacher is quite clear that “he” is a repeat offender.

At this point, I’ve had many conversations with many young children (I’m a 1st grade teacher) about what being transgender is and never once have I been met with any fear or confusion. I’ve even been the recipient of a group hug!

Let that sink in: this teacher is not just repeatedly engaging very young children in secretive discussions about sexuality, “he” is also soliciting physical contact.

Just to drive the point home, Skyer reiterates:

‘I talk to my students about what it means to be trans all the time’

All. The. Time. “He” also boasts about how great it is to “talk about LGBTQ topics in school”. So, not just transgenderism, but lesbianism, homosexuality, “Queer”…

I talk to my students about what it means to be trans all the time, to the point where they now ask other adults in our school community whether they are cisgender or transgender.

The Blaze

Which sounds an awful lot like indoctrination.

In case you still don’t get it, flip that script around: imagine a male, heterosexual teacher who repeatedly talks to little kids about how he’s a man, and about straight sex, how much he likes girls, and then solicits “group hugs”. Now do you see how creepy this stuff is?

So, I ask again: why are the left so infuriated that anyone doesn’t want that? What are they trying to defend?
