Why the Silence over This Real Genocide?

The left and Muslim groups are completely silent about the slaughter in Nigeria.

If we’re to believe the grotesque coalition of leftists and Muslims parading as ‘pro-Palestine’, their sole concern is the death of innocents, which makes it decidedly odd that their hyper-focus is on one of the least deadly conflicts in the world right now. Even if we accept the Hamas propaganda figures, which notably fail to distinguish between their fighters and ‘civilians’ (if there is even such a thing in Gaza), the death toll there runs a very, very distant third to the wars in Ukraine and Ethiopia. The drug war in Mexico, the ongoing violence in Afghanistan and the civil wars in Myanmar and Yemen all are easily on par with Gaza.

Where are the weekly marches demanding an end to those?

It’s almost as if the only war the left and Muslims care about is the one involving Jews.

They’re certainly not interested in the far more deadly conflict in Nigeria.

Surely it’s not because that one is being waged by Muslims and targeting Christians?

Otherwise, if they were to be consistent, the same groups who organised their first anti-Israel protests within five hours of the October 7 massacre would be out thronging the streets today.

Gunmen attacked two churches in Nigeria’s Kaduna state, kidnapping over 160 people in the twin attacks.

‘Gunmen’ of no particular description, of course.

The police said the attackers had “sophisticated weapons” on Sunday morning in “Kurmin Wali, a forest community in Afogo ward,” located in the Kajuru area.

Usman Danlami Stingo, a lawmaker representing the area, announced the attacks happened “at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), a church belonging to the denomination Cherubim and Seraphim, and a Catholic church.”

This is yet another atrocity in a conflict that has raged for over a decade, with not a single protest by the left or Muslims in Australia.

The persecution turned into genocide in 2009 when the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram declared jihad and launched a murderous campaign against the Christians in Nigeria. According to the Christian watchdog Open Doors, “More believers are killed for their faith in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world.”

Surely such a deplorable situation would draw any decent anti-war activist out into the streets?

Unless, of course, it was never ‘anti-war’ in the first place.

A surge of these attacks have happened in northern Nigeria where many militant and radical Islamic groups have gained ground:

In early November, President Donald Trump told the Pentagon to prepare for action if Nigeria fails to stop the massacre of Christians.

True to his word, Trump launched strikes on ISIS terrorists on December 26.

Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar said Nigeria provided intelligence to the US for the attack. President Bola Tinubu gave Trump permission to launch the strikes.

In fact, not only do the left fail to lift a single placard in protest at this genuine genocide, they do everything they can to pretend it’s not happening. Take this from the BBC, for instance:

US President Donald Trump says American forces have attacked the Islamic State (IS) group in Nigeria, accusing it of “targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians” […]

But the BBC has found that some of the data being relied on to come to this conclusion are difficult to verify.

This is odd, considering how readily the BBC trumpets Hamas’ obviously fraudulent figures.

And they’re not that difficult to verify at all:

At least 52,250 people have been killed over the last 14 years in Nigeria just for being Christian, a new report published April 10 revealed.

The report, titled “Martyred Christians in Nigeria” and published by the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), which is headquartered in Eastern Nigeria, says 30,250 of those have been killed since 2015, when President Muhhamadu Buhari came to power. The report blames what it calls Buhari’s radical Islamism for those killings […]

The attacks on Christians have also led to significant problems with regard to people being forced to flee from their homes. While more than 50 million Christians, mostly in Northern Nigeria, face “serious jihadist threats for being professed Christians,” no fewer than “14 million have been uprooted and eight million forced to flee their homes to avoid being hacked to death,” the report says.

In case that’s not good enough for the Beeb, the Africa Center for Strategic Studies estimates that “Africa Surpasses 150,000 Deaths Linked to Militant Islamist Groups in Past Decade”. Of Nigeria especially, the Africa Center estimates at least 30,000 dead in the past decade. Even the disgraced NGO Amnesty International concedes that “at least 10,217 have been killed in two years” in Nigeria.

But the left and Muslims can’t blame any of it on Jews. So, crickets.
