Has Australia’s taxpayer-funded far-left propaganda wing ‘national broadcaster’ become a mouthpiece for terrorist propaganda? Do pigs fly?
It was the ABC, after all, who described terror groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad as ‘resistance’ fighters. The ABC has also repeatedly uncritically aired false Hamas claims. Despite that deplorable record, though, ABC journalists have complained that the broadcaster isn’t ‘pro-Palestine’ (which in practice is synonymous with pro-Hamas) enough.
They’re still at it.
Now, they’re claiming that “one of our ABC Middle East team members”, “does not have the strength to hold a camera anymore”, according to producer Cherine Yazbeck (a Levantine Arab surname, just for context).
“He has already lost 34 kilos.
“He can hardly talk on the phone.”
So, who is this unnamed ‘Middle East team member’? Does the ABC not want anyone checking his name and background?
I wonder why not?
These are Gazans, reporting on Gazans.
In other words, almost certainly Hamas sympathisers. After all, some 71 per cent of Gazans supported the October 7 massacres and 95 per cent of them deny Hamas committed any war crimes during those attacks. These are the people the ABC relies on?
And the ABC is deeply complicit in trumpeting Hamas propaganda.
Gaza’s health ministry and the United Nations say more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in shootings near GHF sites and truck convoys.
Gaza’s ‘health ministry’ is literally Hamas – as the elected (by Gazans) government of Gaza: every official organisation in Gaza is by definition a Hamas representative.
And the claims of shootings at aid distribution sites have been completely debunked – yet, here’s the ABC still repeating the lies. And slavishly repeating whatever else Hamas feeds them.
A six-week-old baby is among 15 people to have died of starvation in Gaza in the past 24 hours, local health officials say.
‘Local health officials’? They mean, Hamas representatives.
And no wonder they don’t want to name their ‘Middle East team members’.
The infant died at a hospital ward in northern Gaza, the health officials said, naming him as Yousef al-Safadi.
His uncle, Adham al-Safadi, told news agency Reuters that Yousef's family could not find baby formula to feed him.
Now, where have we heard that name before?
Oh, yes:
Palestinian militants from Hamas military wing Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades attend the funeral of Hamas militant Mohammed al-Safadi in Gaza City, Dec 9, 2017. Al-Safadi was killed in an Israeli air strike on a Hamas military site.
Now, maybe al-Safadi is as common as Smith or Jones in Gaza, or maybe the ABC is relying solely on Hamas operatives and sympathisers for its ‘news’.
Just as the BBC got caught out using the families of Hamas officials for their propaganda.
Defund the ABC. Now. We shouldn’t be forking over more than a billion dollars of our tax money a year to fund anti-Semitic propaganda.
