In a stunning display of Woke-Karma, the popular “Coco’s Cantina” restaurant in Auckland’s Karangahape Road is now considering changing its name after complaints were made by the owners of the “Kingi” restaurant in Britomart that the name “Coco’s Cantina” was appropriating Latin culture.

This comes after complaints were made by the two very Woke owners of Coco’s Cantina that the Kingi restaurant was culturally appropriating a Maori name. The Kingi restaurant denied this, saying that its name came from the word “kingfish”. Apparently the attacks by Coco’s owners became quite heated on social media.

The owners of Coco’s Cantina have now said that they are deeply sorry if they have offended anyone with their restaurant name and that they have always been keen vocal social justice warriors themselves, and they will consider changing their own name instead. It remains to be seen if the Woke will now go broke.

If there are any children or social justice warriors reading this, remember kids, don’t play with fire, you may get wokeburn.
