It is amazing the things that Jacinda Ardern claims she never knew anything about. Yesterday saw yet another unbelievable claim, that she didn’t know about a special exemption being made for a billionaire Google mogul and his child to come to New Zealand:
Billionaire Google co-founder Larry Page visited New Zealand amid Covid-19 border restrictions after his child fell ill in Fiji, Stuff can reveal.
Kiwi businessman and philanthropist Sir Stephen Tindall, who knows Page personally, confirmed he visited New Zealand because his young child required hospital treatment in Auckland.
Page, who is reportedly spending the Covid-19 pandemic in Fiji, has since left New Zealand, Tindall said.
Meanwhile, it was revealed in Parliament on Thursday afternoon that Page and his child were evacuated to New Zealand aboard a Kiwi air ambulance. The billionaire went into isolation on arrival, while his child was treated at Starship.
And Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has said she was not aware Page was in the country and had not earlier been briefed on the matter.

So it looks like foreign billionaires can breeze through MIQ without even a hiccup, while citizens of New Zealand remain locked out of the country.
Rugby players, Wiggles, drag queens and now Google billionaires can all get spaces in MIQ but Kiwi citizens can’t.
And yet again Jacinda Ardern claims she knows nothing. The old I had no idea… she’s used it dozens of times…but I can’t argue strongly against the vibe of it. Amazingly she seemed really well briefed on the exact number of medevac flights to New Zealand each year, but not on this particular case.
What is more amazing is that Stephen Tindall seemed to know, but Jacinda Ardern knew nuffink…nuffink I tell you.
