1. National support up in September as National-led Government increases lead to 14% points after RBNZ cut interest rates

- Support for the National-led Government (National, ACT & NZ First) increased to 55%, up 2% points.
- The Labour-Greens-Maori Party Opposition decreased to 41%, down 2% points.
- 🗳️ Seat projections:
- National/ ACT/ NZ First would win 69 seats, up one from the election.
- Labour/ Greens/ Maori would win 51 seats, down four from the election.
- 📞 Survey details:
- Conducted from August 26 – September 22, 2024, with 902 electors.
- 4.5% did not name a party.
- 📉 Government Confidence Rating:
- Dropped to 92.5 in September 2024.
- 46.5% feel New Zealand is 'heading in the wrong direction'.
- 👫 Gender divide:
- Men heavily favor the National/ ACT/ NZ First coalition.
- Women split, with younger women supporting Labour/ Greens/ Maori Party.
- 📈 Age demographics:
- Older men strongly support National/ ACT/ NZ First.
- Younger women are strongest supporters of Labour/ Greens/ Maori.
