1. Poll: Coalition remain in front, but Labour gain seats

  • 🗳️ 40% of voters believe New Zealand is in "worse shape" compared to a year ago, while 30% think it's in "better shape".
  • 🏛️ If elections were today, the coalition would secure 63 seats, with National at 37% and Labour at 29% in the party vote.
  • 🌿 Greens gained 1% to reach 12%, while ACT and New Zealand First each saw minor changes.
  • 🤔 Undecided voters stood at 9%, unchanged from the last poll.
  • 📉 National would lose 2 seats, Labour gain 3, and Greens would add 1, according to Verian’s calculations.
  • 📊 Christopher Luxon leads as preferred Prime Minister with 25%, while Chris Hipkins follows with 15%, both down 3% from the previous poll.
  • 📈 Chlöe Swarbrick holds 6%, and Winston Peters rises to 6%, with David Seymour at 4%.
