He’s writing fairy tales about a public service that long ago ceased to exist: a public service that used to serve but has now become hopelessly compromised politically and, more often than not, undermines its ministers and the government of the day.

But Rob Campbell thinks that the Public Service Commissioner role should be free of political interference.
