It appears Ardern is nothing more than a puppeteer. As such she should probably be in the Guinness Book of Records for having the largest number of puppets on a string – five million of them. The team of five million is the slogan she likes to use. It’s beyond time the five million woke up to the game that is being played leading into the election. The puppeteer is so keen to cover all her bases that she is now sending out mixed messages and lies to her team of five million.
One person who has picked up on this is Judith Collins. She is questioning why one day we are all told to stock up on masks in preparation for a possible return to level two and the next day we are being told we can spend Christmas in the Cook Islands. These two messages together defy logic. We are either going to level two or to the Cook Islands. It can’t be both. One can only assume she is playing both to those of her puppets who want the borders to remain closed and those puppets who want to see a relaxation and some opening of them.
This is just more nonsense from this woman. A continuation of keeping the election all about COVID. According to Claire Trevett, who would be hard to find in the pocket of Ardern’s red jacket due to camouflage, the PM rocks the status quo. So ran her headline in the Weekend Herald. Claire interviewed Ardern in her Beehive office and says on the bookshelf behind her is a book entitled Women Who Win: or making things happen. I hope Ardern reads it because so far she hasn’t won or made things happen.
She got the job not by winning but by being nominated by Winston Peters, who’s had her on a string for the last three years. The only things she’s made happen are in areas where numbers that should have gone down have gone up and vice-versa. Apart from the broad brush lockdown Ardern has been a complete failure. Even the lockdown should have been earlier and targeted towards the elderly leaving the young ones still able to work.
Why aren’t we opening the border to Australia? The media won’t tell you, as it would tarnish the image they have built up of Ardern, but apart from Victoria and New South Wales, all other States have recorded far fewer cases and deaths than we have. Even Queensland, which has a bigger population. Therefore she’s not quite the Wonder Woman the fifty million dollar local media are painting her out to be. So while the Herald had the usual exuberant global reaction from the left wing media to our one hundred days free of community transmission, their media friends were probably unaware that Australia has in fact done a better job.
Grant Robertson’s message is that unemployment could hit ten per cent. Why bring this piece of bad news out at this point? I suppose he’s reckoning on the puppets being so enamoured with the puppeteer they won’t care. The unemployment figures are a lie because unless you’re actively looking for a job you’re not counted. Talk about cooking the books! As a result, we have no idea how many of Shane’s rellies are lying on the couch living it up on welfare at our expense.
Two more whoppers came from Ardern on Tuesday to do with police numbers. She claimed the Government has added more than 2,000 police when, according to David Farrar, the actual number is 1,260. Then she said when Judith Collins was Police Minister the numbers had decreased when the opposite was the case. This from the woman who claims she never tells porkies. If someone had kept count she’d be in the Guinness Book of Records on that score as well.
Ardern has spent three years not bothering with the facts, instead spouting whatever suits her narrative on any given topic at any given time. Playing hard and fast with the truth will get you caught out eventually. On that basis not even a good communicator can escape from being found out for being less than honest. It appears this is something she has yet to learn.
This should not be a COVID election. We, the voters, should not allow it. The election should be about the types of policies Judith is announcing which should resonate with many in the community. There is a risk for Ardern in making it just about COVID. By doing so she is leaving acres of fertile ground on which Judith can make hay. It would appear with the policies she is articulating she is doing just that.
Let’s hope she can harvest enough votes to put Ardern and Labour where they belong. Out to pasture.
