Australia Day Terror Attack Thwarted

Here we go again with the annual Festival of Woke Hate.

As we endure another round of the annual Festival of Woke Hate, which us normal folk call ‘Australia Day’, the usual suspects are up to their usual tricks. Omni-cause extremists demolished two memorials, one a grave marker, in Melbourne’s Flagstaff Gardens. The cowards, who attacked under cover of darkness, littered the destroyed monuments with anti-Semitic graffiti, including the notorious red triangle Hamas death-mark.

This, on the very day PM Anthony Albanese laughably told us we were a ‘safer’ country, thanks to him.

Are we feeling safe, yet?

A PhD candidate accused of planning to use Molotov cocktails in a terror attack on the Gold Coast on Australia Day has been denied bail.

Sepehr Saryazdi, who worked at the CSIRO, appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday after being charged with one count of acts in preparation for or planning a terrorist act.

‘Sepehr’ and ‘Saryazdi’, it should surprise absolutely no one, are common names among Iranian Muslims. Well, golly gosh, I never.

Commonwealth prosecutor Ellie McDonald told the court […]

“The defendant had plans to lead a riot on the Gold Coast on Australia Day and those plans involved the use of Molotov cocktails, which he had purchased supplies and equipment for.”

Lest we have any doubts, his words are coded with Islamic extremism and anti-Semitism.

In another post, the court heard Mr Saryazdi allegedly said, “before I leave the battlefield on Jan 26, I have a few wishes in case I die” […]

Mr Saryazdi also allegedly told the group “I’m imagining as soon as we manage to overthrow the government, ASIO … will either try to kill me or lobotomise me to kiss the wall.”

“Kiss the wall” refers to the Jewish practise of kissing the Wailing Wall, the last standing remnants of the Second Temple, destroyed by the Romans.

Even more alarming are the references to apparent efforts for fellow Muslim extremists to infiltrate Australia’s security apparatus and inflict terror from within.

Ms McDonald told the court he also allegedly recommended group members learn “how to shoot guns at shooting ranges” and apply for jobs with ASIO and the defence force and then “begin internal operations to down tyranny”.

Given that he was exhorting a large Facebook group of fellow travellers, it begs the question of just how many are trying to do just that.

Defence lawyer Hellen Shilton told the court her client was an academic who had moved from Sydney to Brisbane for his career with the CSIRO but he became isolated.

“He became influenced a bit by the new people he was associating with,” she said.

Ms Shilton told the court Mr Saryazdi had an interest in geopolitics and started “watching videos and protests”.

The classic profile of a budding lone-wolf Islamic terrorist, then.

Are we feeling safe yet, Anthony Albanese?
