Imagine a school system funded by New Zealand whose textbooks glorified killing Māori, or demonised Pasifika, or taught that Muslims were inherently evil. There would be immediate, universal condemnation. So why is the response so muted when the hatred is directed at Jews?
This is the trial the NZ Government was referencing it would follow when it announced an end to use of puberty blockers on gender dysphoric children. Hopefully, the outcry in the United Kingdom will see the end of this flawed and dangerous trial.
If being born onto welfare and staying there long-term is a risky business for children, why would any government want to encourage this?
Where does that leave me? Out of a possible five, I give the Government 2.5. But a Labour-led coalition with the Greens and Te Pāti Māori would, on the face of it, score very substantially less – perhaps even a zero.
