Bondi Commission to Grill the Media

Stochastic terrorism? Try looking in the mirror, legacy media.

As we used to say in school, ‘Who smelt it, dealt it’. That crude metaphor describes the left’s self-righteous blatherskite about ‘stochastic terrorism’ to a T. Stochastic terrorism is defined as “a mass-mediated process in which hostile public rhetoric, repeated and amplified across communication platforms elevates the statistical risk of ideologically motivated violence by unknown individuals, even without direct coordination or explicit orders”.

Which exactly describes the legacy media, especially its far-left excrescences in Australia, the ABC, SBS, and the Age.

The Bondi royal commission will soon investigate traditional media companies, with both public broadcasters making submissions ahead of its next hearing block which will focus on antisemitism in news and social media.

It’s purely a vicious rumour that the ABC’s submission consisted entirely of the statement that, ‘It’s all just a Joo plot to control the media and the world.’

Mr Aghion said news editors, particularly the current and former executives of the ABC, must be compelled to give evidence.

Aghion noted the significance, and the absurdity, of the ABC and SBS refusing the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism when the government, the royal commission itself and even the commissioner have accepted it is not problematic.

Unlike certain cowardly kapos grovelling to the ABC’s payrolled antisemites in order to keep their sweet, sweet taxpayer-funded sinecures, former Jewish ABC employees are in no doubt about the public broadcaster’s tolerance for Jew-haters.

Former ABC video editor Elahn Zetlin’s submission to the royal commission, shared with the Australian, points to alleged inconsistencies in the recognition of Jewish Australians compared to other groups – both inside the national broadcaster and within its editorial output.

The commission has already signalled that hearing block three will examine “institutions and industries that have been identified in numerous submissions as areas of particular concern”, with social media and online antisemitism high on the list. Traditional media is next in the firing line. They’ll need plenty of bullets.

A cartoon published by both the Sydney Morning Herald and the Age just three weeks after the Bondi massacre conveyed an “antisemitic trope that Jewish people secretly control or manipulate global events, governments, financial systems, or the media”, according to the Australian Press Council.

The hatred is anything but subtle. But then, subtlety is not Cathy Wilcox’s forte. Her entire career has been based on foghorning the latest far-left talking-points, whether it’s blaming the October 7 massacre on the victims, or parroting the antisemitic trope that da Joos control the world.

Among those to publicly criticise the cartoon and Nine’s decision to publish it was lawyer Arsen Ostrovsky, who was injured in the December 14 attack.

“Hard to see this as anything but an unadulterated form of Jew-hatred. The royal commission into antisemitism has enormous support from entire community. But she (Wilcox) thinks it’s a Zionist conspiracy. Sick!”

This is not the first time, by a strange coincidence, that the Age has had to pull antisemitic cartoons. The pattern is as obvious as it is vile.

This is ‘stochastic terrorism’ in its purest form. One-sided, inflammatory coverage and imagery that frames Jews and supporters of Israel as puppetmasters or conspirators does not stay on the page or screen. It seeps into the culture, normalises exclusion and raises the temperature until some unhinged individual decides the “Zio scum” or the “Zionist conspiracy” need to be dealt with physically.

The Bondi massacre did not come from nowhere. The atmosphere that made it possible was manufactured, amplified and normalised by institutions that now pretend to be shocked by the consequences.
