Can We Be a Bit More Reasonable and Let Izzy Speak?

This whole commotion about a 16-year-old trying to protest about an issue and being caught up misspeaking is a shame.

It was not long ago that another protest in Wellington was being smeared in the MSM and being denied a voice. By jumping on a kid who gave an honest answer and making it all about something other than the issue itself, we are no better than the MSM. Despite maybe thinking this is a silly protest, most of us are older than Izzy Cook and should know that people do misspeak and that speaking in public is a very nerve-wracking thing for many.

If we want to show that we are better than the paid-off media, we should not do what they do and take cheap shots, especially at a young person. We should give people the chance to make their point. By being reasonable, we might have a chance to not only learn from Izzy Cook but we also might earn enough of her respect to perhaps encourage her to look further into issues such as the one she is protesting about and perhaps she will learn something as well.

If we merely dismiss her out of hand, then she will understandably be defensive and will probably not look into the fraudulent and hypocritical details of this so-called climate crisis.

Imagine if we could reach Izzy Cook, help shine a light on the real issues and use our collective effort to fight the real evils in the world. Perhaps once she has figured out how some of the real evils in the world operate in the shadows, she might turn her attention and energy to take on, for example, the suppression of free speech, questionable vaccinations, control of genetically modified crops, and many genuinely detrimental things governments and corporations are doing.

I am fortunate to have learnt about them as a young person. I guess I am just lucky some bully in the media didn’t get a cheap gag at my expense.

By continuing to mock a kid and refusing to hear her points of view, all we are doing is making ourselves look like bullies; just like Jacinda Ardern, Greta Thunberg, Klaus Schwab and the rest of the taking-over-the-world cult.
