Zelensky turns a political trick or two for his best Johns. He might be a two-bit political hooker, but you can’t say Volodymyr Zelenskyyyyyyeahyeahyeah doesn’t work hard for someone else’s money, hunny. If nothing, he puts out harder than Linda Lovelace eying off a shopping bag full of coke. There’s nothing he won’t do for his best customers.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy flew into a key US swing state this week on a taxpayer-funded aircraft after publicly criticizing former President Donald Trump and Republican Ohio Sen JD Vance.
Because of course he did.
Of course, the mainstream media would no doubt furiously dub this ‘fake news’.
Except that it’s true. While Zelensky is ostensibly in the US to attend the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, it’s just serendipity that the US taxpayer is running a side hustle, also just coincidentally, in a key battleground state for the Democrats.
During his visit, Zelenskyy met with high-level Democratic Pennsylvania officials such as Gov Josh Shapiro, Sen Bob Casey and Rep Matt Cartwright and expressed his gratitude “for their support.”
Because of course he did – and by ‘support’, he means the rivers of taxpayer-funded gold the Democrats have poured into ‘the most corrupt country in Europe’.
Trump has his number.
“I think Zelenskyy is the greatest salesman in history. Every time he comes into the country, he walks away with 60 billion dollars,” Trump said at a rally in western Pennsylvania. “He wants them to win this election so badly, but I would do differently – I will work out peace.”
Zelensky is pulling out all stops to keep the War Machine spinning an endless stream of money for him.
Donald Trump said on Monday (Sep 24) that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wanted the Democrats to win the 2024 US election, in which the former president faces Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate.
Zelenskyy was even more critical of Vance to The New Yorker, referring to him as “too radical.” In an interview with the Shawn Ryan show in mid-September, Vance recently proposed a peace deal where Russia retains the territory it has seized so that a demilitarized zone could be established along the current battle lines.
The demilitarized zone would need to be “heavily fortified so the Russians don’t invade again,” Vance said at the time. Such a deal could also involve the provision that Ukraine doesn’t join NATO to guarantee neutrality with Russia.
Which is almost certainly pretty much how a negotiated peace will eventually pan out. The fantasy that Ukraine will somehow defeat Russia is more brutally exposed by the day. The prospect of a total Russian victory is not a pleasant one. Almost certainly, Russia will end up keeping most of what it’s captured – and the Ukrainian neutrality Russia’s self-interest demands.
All that’s really at question is how much more Ukrainian and Russian blood, and American taxpayers’ treasure, is going to be poured into the insatiable maw of the military-industrial complex.
