- The total confirmed cases number is 1122, which is the number NZ reports internationally.

- New Health Act order s71 notice comes into effect for Alert Level 3
- Bloomfield said it gives us confidence we’ve achieved elimination, which doesn’t mean zero cases, but we know where they’re coming from.

Note – 27 April: There are five new cases today, one confirmed and four probable cases. Six cases that were probable yesterday have been reclassified as under investigation or not a case following discussion with MOH. This results in a net decrease in total cases by one.
