Do We Believe Them, or Believe Them?

Islamic preachers say whatever their current audience wants to hear.

The Australian government is pouring our taxpayer dollars into Muslims who preach extremism and practice taqiyya right to our faces.

As I’ve reported before, the Albanese government, for all its blatherskite about ‘social cohesion’, has been quietly funnelling tens of millions of taxpayer dollars into extremist Islamic groups. Including, it is now alleged, the very group where the Flydubai terrorist pilot was radicalised.

Emirati Attorney-General Hamad Saif al Shamsi revealed over the weekend that the accused hijacker had delivered a “detailed confession” on his time studying in Melbourne, where it is alleged his radicalisation took root.

“The radicalisation of the man accused of trying to hijack an aircraft and carry out a 9/11-style terrorist attack reportedly began in Melbourne as an international student. Now we learn the Islamic organisation he associated with received not one, but two taxpayer-funded grants from the Albanese Labor government in the last two financial years,” [One Nation leader Pauline Hanson] said in a statement.

As Hanson pointed out, at the same time that ASIO is warning that the probability of a terror attack in Australia in the next 12 months is greater than 50 per cent, and that the vast majority of the extremists on its radar are Islamic, Labor are pouring nitroglycerine on the extremism fire. Of its $171 million dollar ‘multicultural fund’, 94 per cent went to Labor-held seats – most of which are heavily dominated by Muslims. The electorate of Home Affairs, Immigration and Citizenship Minister Tony Burke, the most Muslim-heavy seat in Australia, is among the biggest beneficiaries. The Australian National Imams Council, based in his electorate received over half of the total funding: an astonishing $86 million Australian taxpayer dollars.

As Hanson says:

The same government that refused to name radical Islamic terrorism for days after the Bondi massacre, dragged its feet on a royal commission, and fails to confront Islamic extremism head-on is now at risk of funding extremism too.

In return, Australians are getting a heaping helping of classic Islamic deception. The high-profile Melbourne sheikh named by the Flydubai terrorist is a case in point. Before Bondi, Samir “Abu Hamza” Mohtadi was all firebrand hatred for Jews, praise for jihadis and invective against ‘infidel’ Australia.

Before Bondi: Jews are “filthy terrorists”, “blood-sucking humans” and “scavengers”; ‘victory’ for “our mujahideen in Palestine” and Muslims rejecting Australian values. Mohtadi preached that Muslim had their own values, culture, language and religion, so they did not need to embrace those of Australia.

Before Bondi: Mohtadi happily conceded that “I am an extremist”, urged Australian Muslims to leave Australia to join the Islamic State, and advocated cutting off hands and stoning to death. Muslims, he said, cannot live among “polytheists” (meaning Christians).

Then Bondi happened, and Mohtadi, we are supposed to believe, turned on a dinar.

[Mohtadi…] said the targeted attack against innocent Jews was forbidden in Islam. “Did you not hear what Allah said? And whoever kills a soul, it is like they’ve killed the whole of humanity. And whoever saves a soul, it is like they’ve saved the whole of humanity.”

As soon as anyone trots out this cherry-picked quote, you know they’re either ignorant or lying through their teeth. As a sheikh, Mohtadi clearly is not ignorant of the koran.

In which case he also knows that he’s only selectively using half of the actual quote. Quoted in full, it’s a lot less ‘co-exist-y’:

Whoever takes a life – unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land – it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity. Although Our messengers already came to them with clear proofs, many of them [Jews] still transgressed afterwards through the land. Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides, or exile from the land. – Koran 5:32-33

As Raymond Ibrahim has said, taqiyya is not only “of fundamental importance”, but now “mainstream” in Islam.
