Long-time National MP Nick Smith has caused unparalleled disruption in the House – for the second time in 13 years. National’s longest serving MP has been “named” by the Speaker and thrown out of the debating chamber for grossly disorderly conduct today. Smith was asked to leave after clashing with Speaker Trevor Mallard
[…] He was named after he challenged Police Minister Stuart Nash over what he claimed the Minister had said on drug driving
[…] Nash denied that was the case. Smith is out for 24 hours, in his first suspension in this Parliament.
