We can have democracy or we can have indigenous sovereignty. We can’t have both.
Doing nothing solves nothing. It is hard to argue with David Seymour’s comment that National are afraid to address the hard issues. National might find out a lot are leaving the party for that reason. They are flying in the face of the majority of their supporters.
There are many lessons for New Zealand in the US election outcome. Firstly, it’s very clear that politicians who lose touch with the sentiment of ordinary folk do so at their peril. National should take note.
