The Doctor
Recent examples of hatred toward women are legion, from the Posie Parker incident to the latest Adidas parody of an obviously bulbous man in a one-piece women’s swimsuit.
This hatred goes beyond ordinary misogyny, you know, the Once Were Warriors kind where men denigrate or abuse women. This kind is far more insidious. This kind wants to erase women from existence.
It is where the word “woman” ceases to have a distinct meaning. It does not take much of a leap from there for some to want to erase the obviously real object of the word: namely women themselves.
And I’m not talking about a fringe group of internet INCELS, or knuckle-headed grown-up boys at the pub, or even the universally despised wife-beater. I’m talking about leaders of Western institutions. People like Ketanji Brown Jackson, justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, who could not state what a woman was because she ”…is not a biologist.” Or our very own Prime Minister who hummed and harred for a solid 10 seconds before spouting obvious nonsense.
Either these leaders genuinely believe what they say, or they are so afraid of someone or something to spout utter nonsense with straight faces.
If they believe it, then they are delusional and should not be trusted with the reins of power and should instead be psychiatrically evaluated.
But we know that they don’t really mean it. Like us, they are terrified of this thing. Whatever or whoever it is. We cannot point to an individual, but it’s a feeling. We feel that, whether at work or in public life, if we come out for women, we will be denigrated in some way and may even suffer real-world consequences such as losing our jobs or being beaten up.
We think that it might be the transgender people themselves or their supporters. But what animates these people? Why such venom? Why such violence? Why such a disconnection from reality? Do they believe they are right and their beliefs trump those even of God Himself?
When I have questions like this, I like to look up the users’ manual to see the designer’s point of view on a matter. Daniel writes:
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
(Dan 11:37)
Yes. That sounds like the spirit that we are all afraid of. Who is this man that Daniel writes about?
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
(Dan 8:23)
Well, we certainly have plenty of transgressors and the latter time of their kingdom is now. And this “king of fierce countenance” is the coming world leader who will be revealed soon. But his spirit is already affecting the world:
and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
(1 Jn 4:3)
But if this hatred is a spirit, how do we respond? Well first, we need to realise it is supernatural. It hates life, hates joy, hates women and men, and wants us dead. And we are in a spiritual battle:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
(Eph 6:12)
Prayer is important as well and standing fast on the values of the bible. Do not give in to bullying and do not give in to the redefining of words. That is where madness lies.
To the men (created male). If you love your wives, daughters, mothers and sisters then you may be called to put your voice or your body on the line for them. Be strong, and quit yourselves like men. As the Bible says. Know that God is with you and ”If God be for us, who can be against us?” Rom 8:31
