Ashley Bloomfield has finally confirmed what we all suspected, that the latest outbreak, the one that caused the lockdowns we are still suffering under, came as a result of Government failure at the border.

He told Mike Hosking AND the AM Show the same thing:
“We are very confident it hadn’t laid dormant in the community as it were. It must have been introduced through the borders, either at the airport, or at a managed isolation facility, or possibly through one of the ports.”
No surprises really, that’s what we’ve been saying all along, and the reality is that is the only answer logically.
You see you can’t claim to have been virus free for 102 days so you can skite about how New Zealand is better than the rest of the world and then claim the virus appeared magically and that’s it’s “tricky”.
It had to have come through the border as it was not possible to come from anywhere else.
Of course the Prime Minister knows better:
But Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, appearing later on the show said there’s still “no evidence of that”.
“We did a sweep of testing across all those frontline border workforces, across the port, across all our managed isolation facilities. You’ll know that we also genomed everyone that was in our MIQ to try and find matches there. We did not find the source.”
That isn’t true though, because hundreds of people in MIQ weren’t tested at all and on top of that staff working at the border and in MIQ facilities weren’t tested either.
Just yesterday we’ve found out that a nurse, perhaps the highest risk person working at the border, has just contracted the virus, but has been going about her normal routines, including going to the gym, all the while working in the very place that they are highly likely to catch the virus.
It just shows that the border and isolation facilities are still not managed properly, and far from being “tricky” the virus is in fact just a normal virus doing what viruses do.
It’s the people, from the Prime Minister down, who are being tricky. Tricky with the facts, tricky with the truth, tricky with complying with isolation rules. Tricky, tricky, tricky.
The Prime Minister is being tricky when she says they didn’t find the source. That doesn’t mean it didn’t come through the border, it just means they haven’t found the person who brought it in. That person who had to have come through the border.
Ardern stated that New Zealand was totally free from the virus for 102 days (another lie, but that’s what she still claims). Then she puts us all in lockdown because of the second wave of Chinese plague.
So Jacinda, dear, if it was eradicated and then it came back, but it didn’t come from overseas, then how did it get here? Can somebody translate that into kindergarten playground language so that Jacinda can understand that the outbreak came because of failure at the border, just like Ashley Bloomfield says?
If I truly was investigating where it came from, like “a police investigation” as Ashley Bloomfield says, then I’d be checking all those people who came through the border without a test.
But they haven’t done that. Instead they’ve been tricky with their language, tricky with their explanations and tricky with the truth.
