He Has a Nazi Tattoo!

Democrats relentlessly bat for scandal-plagued candidate.

Imagine if a conservative had that tattoo. The Good Oil.

Picture this: a Republican candidate for a crucial electoral race who’s accused of a litany of ‘poor behaviour’, to say the least. Multiple allegations of domestic abuse, rape threats and mooching off the VA with a ‘100 per cent disability’, to the tune of nearly five grand a month, plus free healthcare, while working as an oyster farmer and holding down a gruelling campaign schedule.

Oh, and he has a Nazi tattoo. Not a ‘looks a bit like a Nazi’ tattoo, an actual goddamn SS logo, larger than death, on his chest.

The media and the left (a tautology, I apologise) would go feral. Hell, they even called milquetoast Mitt Romney a ‘fascist’.

But Graham Platner, the almost-certain Democrat candidate for Maine, is, well, a Democrat. So, the left establishment is defending him to the hilt. The more obviously odious he shows himself to be, the harder they double down.

Platner has weathered a long list of scandals. Most recently, voters learned that the former Marine and Bernie Sanders-endorsed “progressive” has an alleged history of abusive behavior towards women. Ex-girlfriends have accused him of locking them in rooms, threatening them, and grabbing their wrists with enough force to leave bruises. They’ve also detailed a wide range of violent fantasies, including his repeated hope to “rape” a home invader, but “not in a gay way”, only to assert his dominance.

One ex had a 2016 diary entry that called him “the most toxic literally abusive man on earth who destroyed my life”.

Other revelations are that he regularly kept the left’s most-demonised mass-murder ‘military-style assault rifle’, an AR-15, lying around his apartment and would relax in front of the telly by sharpening an axe. Others revealed that he referred to women as ‘hatchet wounds’, the sort of crude commentary that, if it came from Donald Trump, would have the left baying down the house for years. At least half a dozen women have reported being bombarded with sexually suggestive texts from Platner while he was married.

To be fair, this sort of stuff has been a Democrat SOP against Republicans for years. We’ve lost count of the number of women who’ve ‘come forward’ while a Republican was in the throes of an election campaign, only to disappear like melting snowflakes once election day was safely past.

But he still has a goddamn Nazi tattoo!

Numerous acquaintances have testified that, contrary to his disingenuous claims that he ‘didn’t know’ it’s a Nazi symbol, he would often refer to it as “my Totenkopf”.

Nothing if not consistent, Platner has also appeared on the podcast of a neo-Nazi conspiracy theorist, calling himself a “longtime fan”.

Then there’s the disability freeriding.

He gets free health care and about $4,800 a month for a variety of injuries connected to his military service, including “a couple herniated discs,” injuries to his shoulders and knees, and post-traumatic stress disorder. He’s gotten a 100 per cent disability rating from the VA, he said.

It may seem unusual for a candidate with such conditions to have such an active public life. Platner, who served four tours in the Middle East, is also an oyster farmer in his town of Sullivan. His campaign launch video shows him splitting firewood and working out with a kettlebell. And he’s crisscrossing the state at a breakneck pace holding town hall events.

While it’s true that a VA 100 per cent disability rating is not the same as a social security disability rating, it still requires that the recipient must show they cannot engage in “substantially gainful employment”. True, collecting a fat taxpayer-funded sinecure in Congress isn’t what many of us would call “substantially gainful employment”, but spending his days stripping and racking oyster slats, loading and unloading punts and hauling baskets of oysters around seems a bit hard to square with a supposedly crippling disability.

And he has a fucking Nazi tattoo.
