Horror Stabbing Incident at Sydney Church

A major police operation is underway in western Sydney after four people were stabbed at a church, including a Christian preacher, with the disturbing attack livestreamed on social media.

Sky News Australia reported the incident unfolded at Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley about 7.15 pm.

Footage has appeared across social media platforms, Chris Lynch Media won’t be publishing.

New South Wales Police earlier told SkyNews.com.au two people had been attacked but NSW Ambulance later clarified the figure was four.

The four patients include a man in his 50s,  a man in his 30s, a man in his 20s, and a man in his 60s.

All four are being treated for lacerations, while the man in his 50s has been taken to Liverpool Hospital.

Injuries of the victims are not believed to be life-threatening.

NSW Police confirmed they responded to reports of a stabbing, and that they have a man in custody.

“Officers arrested a male and he is assisting police with inquiries,” a statement said.
