‘Islamophobia’ Is a Big, Fat Lie

There’s nothing irrational about hating and fearing Islam.

It was Andrew Cummins, not Christopher Hitchens, who said that Islamophobia is “a word created by fascists, and used by cowards, to manipulate morons”. He was entirely right.

A ‘phobia’, after all is, according to Harvard Health, a “an intense, irrational, and persistent fear of a specific object or situation that poses little or no actual danger”. The detestation of Islam many non-Muslim feel may be intense and persistent, but it is hardly irrational. In just the past week, multiple Islamic terror attacks have been perpetrated in the US and Canada – the merest good luck prevented fatalities.

Jewish Australians were not so lucky, just a few months ago. Dozens were gunned down at a religious beach service by two Muslim terrorists carrying an ISIS flag. Beginning with the very first terror attack on Australian soil, in 1915, and particularly accelerating in the past two decades, some 90 per cent of terror attacks and plots in Australia were perpetrated by Muslims. That’s not counting the ‘honour killings’ and attacks, and more.

That seems more than rational enough grounds to fear Islam. It also proves that Islam in fact poses a great deal of danger.

Indeed, as if to make the point beyond all doubt, the attempted Islamic terror bombing in New York targeted an ‘Islamophobic’ protest. Nothing quite makes the point of the lie of the ‘Islamophobia’ slur than Muslims responding to criticism of Muslim violence with attempted mass-murder.

And nothing quite proves the assertion of the Center for the Study of Political Islam International, that “the term Islamophobia … is frequently misused to delegitimize reasonable critique of Islamic doctrine, especially its political, legal, and militant aspects”, than the frankly sinister response of New York’s Muslim mayor. In his press conference after the attempted mass casualty attack – perpetrated explicitly in the name of Islam, by two Muslims – Mamdani never made a single mention of that fact. Instead, he tried to shift blame, for what one of the actual perpetrators intended to be a worse mass-murder than the Boston Bombing, onto the intended victims.

Like so many ‘peaceful, moderate Muslims’, Mamdani has plenty of grotesque form, here.

New York jihad-lover and socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani just appeared at a Ramadan event introduced by a man who has called for bombing Tel Aviv and murdering Israelis.

Abdullah Akl made the introductory remarks for Mamdani at the Muslim American Society (MAS) mosque event in Staten Island. Akl has also made his terror-aligned sympathies perfectly clear by urging Oct 7 massacre perpetrators to strike Tel Aviv, according to the Washington Free Beacon’s Jon Levine, and by leading a crowd in a chant of “intifada,” which means genocidal jihad to wipe Israel off the map.

This is the type of loathsome barbarian Mamdani loves to promote.

Indeed, it runs right through the Mamdani household.

It was recently reported that the wife of New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Rama Duwaji, had liked Instagram posts celebrating the mass murder of over 1,200 innocent Israeli civilians on Oct 7, 2023, and other similarly themed posts, including one calling the rape of women on that day a “hoax.”

Try to imagine the media’s reaction if, say, First Lady Melania Trump liked dozens of social media posts celebrating the murder of Muslims.

Instead, the legacy media are singing from the same hymn sheet of lies as Mamdani. As the New York Times put it:

“Smoking Jars of Metal and Fuses Thrown at Protest Near Mayor’s House.”
The subhead, no less vague, informs readers that “six people were arrested after anti-Islamic protesters led by the right-wing activist Jake Lang clashed with counter protesters near Gracie Mansion.”

Those “smoking jars of metal and fuses,” more familiarly known as improvised explosive devices or “bombs,” were constructed and allegedly thrown by two budding Islamic terrorists […]

This isn’t merely bias, it’s anti-journalism – reporting that literally leads the reader away from the truth.

To borrow the terminology the legacy media love to fling at everyone else, it’s the embodiment of malinformation.

A paper that sees no problem running numerous columns explicitly comparing President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler soft-pedals coverage of real-world comparisons to medieval Islamic chieftains, lest readers draw the wrong conclusions.

After the death of Hezbollah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah, whose Shia militia had brought a once-peaceful Lebanon into endless ethnic conflict, not to mention murdered hundreds of American service members, the New York Times heralded him as a “revolutionary religious leader” and “powerful orator, beloved by Shi’ite Muslims” who helped “provide social services for Lebanon.”
The Religion of Peace has a real affinity for things that explode and make a lot of noise. That juxtaposition isn’t going unnoticed by those of us who are constantly accused of being Islamophobes.

And the legacy media are so utterly corrupt and unfit for purpose that they’re constantly shown up by an unapologetic satire site. As the Babylon Bee so accurately put it, Islamophobia may be at least partially caused by Muslims killing people all the time.

And they’re changing the way we express ourselves. What this means for declining birth rates globally and the relationship between the sexes is unclear. Let’s just say, based on this research, the future does not look promising. Seems like that blasted pendulum never rests in the middle.
