The media are the biggest cry-bullies there are. They are wailing because Google is going to walk if they end up being taxed to protect failing media companies.
You have to love the mainstream media. They have a moribund business model so they lobby the government, and ignore the irony of them campaigning against lobbyists, to bully Google and other social media companies into paying a tax for essentially providing a link to the media’s content.
Then when Google turns around and says get stuffed, the same media who were calling for the bullying of Google then turn around and claim Google is bullying them.
The warnings were ignored. This was preventable. The question now is whether anyone will be held accountable, or whether we’ll simply wait for the next catastrophe.
They killed the journalist who connected it all. Now we live in the world he warned us about.
It is important to fight the implementation of such policies to help ensure our freedom, privacy and security for ourselves and for future generations.
