They must be so proud of their little selves.

My what a difference a few years can make. In 2017, the LA Times piously reported that only the most loony fringe activists wanted to keep violent criminals in America. “That position puts them at odds with others – including Democratic politicians in California and many immigrants themselves – who support deporting those convicted of violent and more grave crimes, which was a long-standing policy embraced by President Obama.”

And here we are in 2025, where keeping violent criminals in the US is the hill nearly the entire Democrat Party and their legacy media lackeys (which is to say, the legacy media) have chosen to die on. A conga-line of Democrat politicians have swanned south of the border (on the taxpayer dime, natch) to fawn over a violent MS-13 gang member (or, as the MSM would have us believe, a “Maryland dad”) who was rightfully deported for being in the US illegally. Others have joined violent protesters in attacking ICE detention facilities and assaulting federal officers.

They must be so proud of themselves for successfully orchestrating the escape of a paedophile rapist.

Immigration agents were trying to collar Jose Reyes Leon-Deras, who hails from El Salvador and was convicted of child rape in Italy, but were disrupted by the activist group that post of the fed’s whereabouts, ICE wrote on X.

Anti-ICE activsit group Colorado Rapid Response shared the agents’ location on social media, the feds said. As a result, the criminal illegal migrant was able to flee.

The next time the legacy media try to tell you that the right are dangerous extremists, just keep this in mind:

Anti-ICE activists tried to block the entrance of an ICE facility in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday before they launched fireworks and shined lasers at cops, Department of Homeland Security assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital.

And anti-ICE rioters set cars ablaze, threw rocks and pieces of concrete at law enforcement and blocked highways in Los Angeles two weeks ago, leading Trump to deploy thousands of National Guard troops.

The Democrats are also openly flouting the law by obstructing federal officers from carrying out their duties.

Days after Trump’s 2024 election, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston vowed to shield migrants in his sanctuary city from mass deportation by using local cops and 50,000 residents “stationed at the county line”.

Want to talk about ‘insurrection’, now?

In the meantime, ICE are getting on with the job the Trump administration was elected to do. A job overwhelmingly endorsed by American voters.

The Trump administration finally nabbed an immigration activist who eluded federal agents for years and hid in churches where she was shielded from arrest.

Jeanette Vizguerra, a 53-year-old Mexican mom of four, was once named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People for hiding from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in a Colorado church.

Who should be charged as accessories and for obstructing federal agents. There is no law that says churches may harbour criminal suspects without repercussion.

After years of chasing her, ICE finally got its hands on Vizguerra Monday when she was in the parking lot of the Target store in Denver where she worked, according to Jordan Garcia, another immigrant rights activist, told the New York Times.

Former Denver ICE chief John Fabbricatore spent 15 years trying to collar Vizguerra, whom he calls a “horrible and smug” criminal who led the “abolish ICE movement” in Colorado.

Fifteen years. Imagine if she had put all that time and effort into legally applying to migrate in the first place. So much for the people who try and defend illegal immigration, because ‘legally migrating is just so hard’. Not as hard as going on the run for 15 years for repeatedly breaking the law.

Vizguerra crossed the Texas border illegally in 1997, an ICE spokesperson told the Post.

She first found herself the target of ICE in 2009 during the Obama administration, when she was pulled over in Denver and found to have a fake Social Security card with her own name and birth date but someone else’s number on it.

At the time, the Mexican national claimed she didn’t know the number was someone else’s.

Two months later, Vizguerra was caught driving without a license and insurance, ICE said.

An immigration judge gave Vizguerra the opportunity to leave the US on her own terms, which she failed to do.

The next year, she left for Mexico while she was appealing her removal and then crossed again into the US illegally and was subsequently convicted of illegal entry, a felony which resulted in a year of probation, ICE said.

Enter the meddling tilty-heads of the woke churches.

When President Trump entered office for the first time, her removal order was reinstated. However, her attorney “notified ICE that she would be taking sanctuary in the First Unitarian Society Church in Denver and would not be reporting to ICE as ordered,” the agency said.

Vizguerra moved into the basement of the Colorado church in 2019 with her three youngest children, all of whom were born in the US, where they sought refuge on and off for the next three years.

The government was well within its rights to raid the church, then. “The law does not prevent police, including immigration enforcement and other specialized units, from entering church grounds to arrest a criminal suspect who has claimed religious sanctuary,” as the California-based Church Law Center makes clear.

All that was missing was the will to enforce the law.
