Letter to the Editor: Freedom Protests

Dear Editor

There’s a palpable absence of any news journalists walking amongst the Wellington protestors, interviewing them and asking them probing questions about their cause.  There is no in-depth reporting on the other protests happening either. Nothing.  Zilch.

Where has our media gone? What we are left with is an almost theatrical presentation of tattooed Police in militarised formation wearing gloves, ridiculous masks, protective vests and sun lotion, against a few disillusioned New Zealanders with none of it.

There is no obvious interaction or dialogue between them; no leadership shown; none of our elected politicians or senior Police daring to intercede and calm the waters; no truthful reporting beyond a politically sanitized dumbed-down account.

This manipulative woke government and our own moral weakness as a nation are ripping this country apart. It is sad and disgraceful. What have we become?
