Maybe He Could Stop Playing Pocket Billiards?

Luxon comes across as inauthentic, insincere and glib. He speaks a bit like a whoopsy, has girly small hands when he flops them around... and he’s a bit of a dork. Oh and he’s bald, which often doesn’t play well in politics or with the ladies.

Richard Prebble has an article in the NZ Herald about what Christopher Luxon could do to raise his popularity.

Voters do not hate Christopher Luxon. He is a family man with a wonderful CV. He lives his values.

The attacks on Luxon are silly. We have had richer Prime Ministers. He has earned his wealth.

It is my understanding that every Prime Minister has claimed their allowances.

Other MPs own houses. Willie Jackson has previously declared jointly owning two family homes and an apartment in Wellington.

No one pays capital gains taxes so why should Luxon?

Luxon is hard-working and passionate about improving our nation.

What is there to dislike?

Prebs is right, but he missed the most glaring example of property-owning socialists who never got a mention in the media like Luxon has: Helen Clark, the owner of seven properties, including one in the UK, while she was prime minister.
