No More Shirking from Home

The Government orders people shirking from home back to the office. The wailing and howling from the unions and Labour is hilarious.

The shirkers and work-shy employees in the civil service are being ordered back to their desks after enjoying years of ‘working’ from home. They aren’t best pleased and forget who they work for...but the prime minister has reminded them of that, in no uncertain terms.

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has doubled down on the value of having public servants working in their offices.

On Monday, Public Service Minister Nicola Willis said the Government wanted to see more staff at their places of work each day.

Updated guidance for the public service would make clear that working from home (wfh) was not an entitlement and must be agreed and monitored, Willis said.

Guidance? Orders would be a more preferable course of action. Guidance suggests that it may well be optional.
