I spent my first five years attending a district high school in the King Country. I cannot recall if a student was strapped.
Our teachers back then were real teachers and the way they dressed and their professional attitude meant we truly respected them.
They were referred to as Miss, Sir, Mr or Mrs.
No Christian names in those days to attract their attention. The only attention we would have attracted would probably be a good clip under the ear.
People say things have changed for the better from those days… have they?
