A Canadian pro-life group has had a billboard advertisement, picturing a pregnant woman, rejected… because it “creates too much controversy”.

According to a True North report, Pattison Outdoor Advertisements cancelled the campaign saying that the requested image “creates too much controversy”, that the company received “a lot of backlash” for similar designs in the past and the company “cannot take the risk of public complaints”.

The pro-life organisation behind the billboard is Life Culture. Its executive Susan Penner has questioned how Canada has gotten to a state where the beauty and excitement of pregnancy is deemed controversial?

She told the True North that she’s concerned about a culture of fear in Canada that their “pro-abortion activist government” has cultivated.
