Scotland & NZ: Elephants in the Room

There are no coincidences. We’re seeing a lockstep, a plan, in what’s happening in our kid’s lives… and how it’s being done, throughout many countries in the West.

Let Kids Be Kids Founder Penny Marie was invited onto The Pink Elephant Podcast with Kate Deeming. Kate, born in Philadelphia USA, now lives in Glasgow Scotland.

The Pink Elephant…

Is aptly named because we need to talk about the elephant in the room. Urgently. Kate brings together courageous conversations about our children, childhood, culture and healthy communities. She is a long-time advocate for our children and aims to make sense of the madness. And so, on finding Let Kids Be Kids, she saw that we had a lot in common.

Kate also works with the Scottish Union for Education (Substack, X, Facebook) which ‘aims to improve Scottish schools as places of learning rather than sites of activism’.

Deeming Dreaming7. Scotland vs. New Zealand: Let Kids Be Kids Conversation with Penny MarieToday’s podcast takes us to New Zealand where I had the opportunity to speak (virtually) with Penny Marie about her grassroots organisation Let Kids Be Kids. Let Kids be Kids is an initiative which empowers parents to ask questions and take action about what is happening in New Zealand schools and the wider culture…

International conversations

There are no coincidences. We’re seeing a lockstep, a plan, in what’s happening in our kid’s lives… and how it’s being done, throughout many countries in the West. Total strangers from all corners are digging around to make sense of why radical ideologies that are now proven to be exacerbating the wellbeing of our children, are still being pushed in health, education, and media.

And all have similar stories. We’re all coming to similar conclusions. This is no accident.. it’s because we’re uncovering deep dark truths.

Then what?

It feels like it’s time to start seriously talking about solutions. Who gets invited to that table? People in positions of influence? People from the agencies that are causing this situation? People who are funding it, or gaining financially from the harm to our children? Media who refuse to tell the other side of the story? Parents? The people seeing the fallout of harm? Who?
