All things being equal, you might well have been hearing this edition of Perigo’s Perspective on the network formerly known as RCR, Reality Check Radio, where until recently I broadcast weekly – always with Woke Social Justice Warrior snowflakes front of mind, and with a realisation that in this world where SJW snowflakes are routinely being offended by something (or, more often, nothing), the best solution is: more offensiveness! As RCR gloriously proclaimed at the time of its birth, “RIP Woke Media”. I was mindful in each Perspective of Stephen Fry’s exasperated riposte to the snowflakes: “You’re offended? So fucking what?!” And of course, on a more serious note, I was mindful of Salman Rushdie, who had particular occasion to know it, “There’s no such thing as a right not to be offended.”
As I say, you normally could hear this on RCR, complete with Freedom Awards, Barf Awards, Laughter Awards, etc. Instead, you’re now (I hope) reading it on my personal mailing list (from which, if you’re offended, you can unsubscribe by typing Unsubscribe in the subject header and hitting the Reply button). The reason for that is that I ended my association with RCR when it became shockingly clear to me that it, RCR, was morphing into RHA: Radio Ham-Ass, apologists for the Ayatollahs. The clincher was when RCR peremptorily deleted all but 15 seconds of a clip from a YouTube video I had included in what thereby became my last Perspective, a song called: “Oh You Know Where You Can Shove Your Palestine.”
In the past, when RHA were reaching for the vapours at something I was about to say, they would also reach out to me ahead of time and confess their panic, and we would work out a compromise. On one occasion, for instance, I agreed not to use the word Shitholistan to depict generically the Third World countries by whose savages the civilised world is being invaded. On this occasion, there was no consultation, just this:

Whoa! No consultation, no negotiation, just: we’ve done this and that’s that, like it or lump it. Their prerogative, admittedly, but I chose to lump it! Bad enough to object to the song, of which the genuinely anti-woke Rowan Dean had already played a longer clip than I was proposing to use, on his Sky Australia programme; even more unconscionable to lend credence to Iranian regime lies about the number of demonstrators it had slaughtered in January. That RCR were doing apologetics for the worst tyranny on earth suggested to me that they were a Trojan Horse, controlled opposition, like the Pfizer Pflatform.
It boggled my mind that they who were so admirably combating mass-murder perpetrated via the ‘vax’ were and are simultaneously enabling even worse mass-murder perpetrated via Jihad. (It boggles my mind right now that the same Alia Bland who has just so delectably demolished Damn Jabby Jihadi Jacinda Jackboot’s appointment as Professor of Kindness at Sydney University is at the same time enabling apologists for Jihadism!) So I told them to ‘stick it where the sun don’t shine’. As they knew and hoped I would – no longer would they have to scramble for their vapours once a week. Lady Olivia informed me, at this time, that RHA was routinely repairing to some obscure, subterranean anti-Semite named Freddy Wanton for its commentary on the Middle East, someone who unabashedly sides with Tehran in the current conflict, claims America and Israel are the aggressors and that “Death to Israel!” “Death to America!” Iran is merely acting in self-defence. In March, hilariously, Wanton wrote an article claiming Netanyahu was dead and contemporary videos of him were fabricated.
So much for “RIP Woke Media”. RIP, RCR’s glorious promise!
Ordinarily I would have just soldiered on on my own as I’m doing here, but not long after this I suffered a heart attack (unconnected to the drama. A 26-year-old stent had finally succumbed to impertinent resurgent plaque). This was rather careless of me and extremely annoying, though it does not appear to have been fatal. It did set me back somewhat, though, and only now am I beginning to think how best I can continue to raise my elderly infarctee’s voice to help defend the freedom of speech and its civilisational home that are under greater threat than ever in my lifetime.
Which will bring me to the subject of the election shortly. But first, I want to note that Stephen Fry’s “You’re offended? So fucking what?!” occurred during a 2005 debate on free speech over the vile Tony Blair’s proposed Incitement to Religious Hatred Bill. That bill would have criminalised anyone, including writers and comedians such as Stephen, for offending religious fanatics such as Islamo-savages. Christopher Hitchens, naturally, was also an outspoken opponent of the bill. As a result of such antagonism from enlightened humans, Blair’s excrement got watered down and even had clauses added specifically upholding the right to criticize and insult religions... though these are now honoured more in the breach than in the observance in today’s Britonistan, where hundreds are in jail for offending Islamo-savages from Shitholistan.
We’re seeing similar shenanigans here, of course, with the persecution of Brian Tamaki for saying New Zealand should deport Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims. He’s being prosecuted under Section 131 of our Human Wrongs Act, which I have long argued ought to be dumped (along with the Human Wrongs Commissariat), for inciting racial hostility. I confess it was news to me that Sikhs are a race, Hindus are a race, and Muslims are a race. They’re not of course, which is exactly why our Thought Police want to add religion to the grounds on which free speech may be prohibited (and it’s not even 10 years since we abolished blasphemy laws!). As an atheist I have skin in this game: I am an equal opportunity insulter who thinks all religion is silly and most of it dangerous – especially, in today’s world, Islam. Islam is as evil as the Marxism with which it is strategically aligned, and as evil as the Western Academia and Media who lickspittle for them both.
I have skin in this game also as a homosexual. I know that if Sharia Law comes to New Zealand, the best I can hope for is a chance to take in the view from the tall building off which Muslims will push me.
And so to the election. Though none of the parties talks about it, it’s free speech that is top of the ballot in 2026, as it is in America and Europistan. The Islamic Shoplifters’ Party, Te Paaaaaaati Apaaaaaaarthate, the Hard Labour Mongrel Mob Party of Comrade Chrissy Carditis (successor to Damn Jabby Jihadi Jacinda Jackboot, newly appointed Professor of Empathy at Sydney University – Barf Award!) would all, via expanded “hate speech” laws, bring an end to free speech, the absolute bedrock of Western Civilisation. Of course, that for them is the point. They hate Western Civilisation and are on a mission to destroy it, via climate hysteria, glorification of Shitholistan, Sharia and Socialism, militant repudiation of reason in favour of violence, etc. (See France and Spain as we speak!) Orange Man Bad-Ass – OMBA, as I called Trump in my Perspectives (another thing that had TDS Radio Ham-Ass scrambling for their vapours) - is saying to Republicans in danger of succumbing to apathy in the mid-terms, “Pretend I’m on the ballot. Because in reality I am.” That’s what NZ voters must do: in this case, pretend free speech is on the ballot. Because in reality it is – and with it, Western Civilisation itself!
Not that the coalition offers a lot of reassurance. leftie limp-dick Luxon wants to arrest Netanyahu, worships Obamarx and gave Jacinda Jackboot-Gates an ongoing role in curtailing free speech online. Will-o’-the-Wisp Winston is no Churchill, alas. Pandering to the anti-mandate constituency he once claimed were “holding the country to ransom”, he will rightly say Chrissy Carditis should be in jail on outlier platforms, but when push comes to shove, do as much about it as he has done in 40 years about the Maaaaaadi seats: i.e., nothing! On the Tamaki prosecution he will say, “I simply can’t believe this is happening” on Radio Ham-Ass, but, again, say nothing about it, much less call for the dumping of S131 of the Human Wrongs Act, when on an Islamo-Marxist “mainstream” platform such as Stuffed with grotesqueries like Jonah Lunch and Overt O’Lyin’. They-Them Seymour, in a rare outbreak of courage and conviction, once did exactly that in a private member’s bill, but quickly pulled himself together and remembered his pronouns and his love of Klaus Schwab. He went on to call for door-to-door vaccination squads, worthy of Chrissy Carditis’s, “We will hunt you down.”
Yes, the coalition is Uniparty. But this is no excuse to not vote at all and hand the election to Chrissy Carditis and the Islamo-Marxists on a platter. For one thing, the specific economic policies of ACT in particular are vastly preferable to those of the Islamo-Marxists, including the Anti-Opportunity Party promoted so breathlessly by TVNZ et al. For another, one may reasonably hope that a number of MPs who enter parliament on Will-o’-the-Wisp Winston’s and They-Them Seymour’s coat-tails will be genuinely pro-Western Civilisation, pro-capitalist, pro-free speech, anti-climate hysteria, anti-Islamo-savagery, etc., and will behave accordingly regardless of their cowardly leaders. One may not reasonably hope that of a single MP from the Islamo-Marxist bloc. Here I agree with the thrust of the campaign being run by many on the right: electorate vote National, party vote NZ First or ACT. That is certainly what I intend to do, however tightly I shall have to hold my nose in doing so.
There is unimpeachable precedent for this approach:

To be sure, the coalition cannot be trusted to save this country, much less Western Civilisation. But one thing is equally certain: Carditis and the rest of the Islamo-Marxists ARE Western Civilisation’s primordial enemies, and they CAN be trusted to destroy it. Don’t let them. This IS a national emergency!
