Stuff Up of the day

Table of Contents

Today’s Stuff Up of the day is an interesting one because it is not clear who is right and who is wrong.

Two articles were written about the same subject, one by the NZ Herald, and the other by SunLive.  Both articles used the exact same quote BUT attributed it to a different person.

SunLive:

Phil says the Government’s safety programme is already saving lives.
“The new barriers installed on SH3 have been hit around 40 times, potentially preventing at least that many deaths and serious injuries.

The NZ Herald:

Ardern gave the example of the new barrier that had been installed on State Highway 3.  She said it had been hit roughly 40 times already – “potentially preventing at least that many deaths and serious injuries”.
