As Bob Dylan once said, “For the loser now will be later to win”. The 60s are not exactly a fading memory (mainly because the Boomers just can’t shut the hell up about them), but the times they are still a-changin’. With dizzying rapidity. Last week’s pandemic “losers” are suddenly putting the “winners” in their place.

Sweden became the second European Union country to ban Israeli residents from entry due to a rise in COVID-19 cases in Israel, despite the country being one of the most vaccinated countries in the world.

Sweden, remember, was supposed to be “COVID-ravaged”, due to their foolish insistence on eschewing lockdowns and just, y’know, trusting their citizens to do what they needed to.

Israel, on the other hand, is the vaxhole poster-child. Israel, unlike the sainted Jacinda Ardern, “leads the world” in vaccinations. When Australia’s vaccine rollout lagged, we were sternly admonished by the media-political nannies to be more like good boy Israel. While Sweden was supposedly devastated, Israel was on track to be “the first country to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic and, if it doesn’t stumble, it has a good chance of achieving this”.

So, why is “bad” Sweden suddenly giving “good” Israel its marching orders?

Sweden also banned the entry of citizens from the United States, Kosovo, Lebanon, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.

Interior Minister Mikael Damberg told news outlets that the sharp increases in COVID-19 cases in Israel, the United States, and other countries are the reason why they were removed from Sweden’s travel ban exemption. Despite Israel’s mass vaccination campaign, the virus has continued to spread, Damberg said.

But… vaccinations!

78% of Israelis 12 and over are vaccinated. Sweden just 56%.

“We are troubled by this decision, all the more so because most Israelis have been vaccinated. At this stage, the EU should have recognized Israel’s vaccination certificates,” Mor added.

Hmm. What about those “vaccine passports” that the vaxholes are so proud of? Doesn’t their little gold star from teacher grant them “their freedoms”?

Meanwhile, Israel over the weekend announced that individuals who have not received a third booster vaccine shot will not be able to use their vaccine passports.

Oops.

Even though Israel is one of the most vaccinated countries on Earth against COVID-19, cases are rising. The small nation’s seven-day average for COVID-19 infections on Monday was over 1,000 per one million people, which is double the rate of numbers seen in the United States and the United Kingdom, according to Oxford University’s Our World in Data.

The Epoch Times

It’s starting to look like something isn’t adding up, with the narrative, here.

I’m a long-time proponent of vaccines, but it’s becoming pretty undeniable that the COVID vaccines aren’t exactly in the same league, as say, polio or measles vaccines, which confer long-term immunity. On the other hand, the COVID shots seem to be going redundant faster than last month’s iPhone.

I suspect that a large part of this is because the SARS-CoV-2 virus evolves far more rapidly than the others. This raises even more doubt about the rush to vaccinate right now.
