Taken as a whole, the commission’s positions, which we watched unfold live, appear to amount to a pre-determined and completely inadequate outcome.
It is sensible to await the consideration of the Royal Commission before taking steps which will enshrine automatic approvals and emergency use of gene technology in NZ law.
