Teacher’s Unions: The Left’s River of Gold and Blood

It’s no coincidence the latest would-be presidential assassin is a teacher.

Home-school your kids. Because, if we know anything about the systemic Marxist re-education camp network, laughingly called the ‘education system’, it’s that it means handing your kids over to a gaggle of state-funded groomers. Too often, literally.

Sure, the staggering number of teachers convicted (and they’re just the ones who got caught) for abusing children is partly a function of ants going where the sugar is. But the rot runs deeper than that. The designer of Victoria’s grooming programme, ‘Safe Schools’, was not only employed by a Queer Theory thinktank, whose directors included a paedophilia advocate, but she boasted openly that her ‘job’ was to “teach kids to be gay and communist”. The head of one of the largest teachers unions in Australia posed for selfies with hammer-and-sickle flags.

And, like all communists, these taxpayer-funded will readily use violence to get their way.

Such as Cole Tomas Allen. The 31-year-old part-time tutor and California teacher – recently named “Teacher of the Month” – was the man charged with attempting to assassinate President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last weekend. Guns, knives, a manifesto calling himself the “Friendly Federal Assassin,” the works. Authorities say he planned it for weeks. While the usual suspects will wring their hands about ‘mental health’ or ‘loneliness’, the bleedin’ obvious stares us in the face: this bloke was a product of the same education system that’s spent a decade turning classrooms into activist-training camps.

“These entities are a political machine,” Rhyen Staley, research director at Defending Education, told Fox News Digital.

“Show me your budget and I will show you what you value; and what the teachers unions value is political power and advancing a left wing, social justice agenda. Parents, families, and communities have little to no counter to the influence that teachers union dollars have on state and local campaigns. Gone are the days of unions just advocating for higher wages, better working conditions, and good health insurance; they are a political machine focused on fomenting a ‘political revolution.’”

The numbers are staggering. Since 2015, the National Education Association and American Federation of Teachers alone have funnelled roughly $669 million into left-wing groups, advocacy outfits and campaigns. Throw in state and local affiliates and you’re looking at more than a billion dollars of member dues – your tax dollars, effectively – bankrolling everything from “tax the rich” protests to demands to abolish ICE. The NEA alone coughed up nearly $2 million since 2020 to an outfit training kids for May Day “walk-in” protests pushing the full social-justice wishlist. All while 70 per cent of American students can’t read or do maths at grade level.

Meanwhile, parents are still fighting rearguard actions against schools shoving explicitly sexual reading material at primary schoolers. Drag Queen Story Hour was bad enough. Now it’s books that read like hardcore porn with cartoon illustrations, complete with detailed instructions on how to perform every sexual act under the sun. School boards, egged on by union-backed activists, insist it’s all about “inclusion” and “diversity”.

The mindsets of these perverts have rarely been better illustrated than by North Carolina schools superintendent Rodney Trice. Defending a book depicting men in bondage gear kissing being assigned to kindergartners, Trice wittered, “That’s certainly something a child may see in their community.” Maybe at the gloryholes you frequent, Hot Rod.

But parents who object to this degeneracy being peddled to their toddlers are smeared as bigots. Not infrequently, by teachers who turn out to be child molesters. The same unions that cheer this filth are the ones whose political spending ensures the ideologues stay in charge.

This isn’t a bug. It’s the feature. Teacher unions long ago stopped pretending their priority is reading, writing and ’rithmetic. They’re in the business of manufacturing the next generation of left-wing foot soldiers – and, apparently, the occasional would-be presidential assassin. While kids fall further behind in the basics, the unions pour cash into protests, “equity” grifts and every identity-politics cause that keeps the donations flowing.

The hypocrisy is rank. These are the same people who lecture us about ‘defending democracy’ while their members dream of putting Trump in the ground. They rake in taxpayer-funded salaries and pensions, then use the proceeds to fund the very activists who turn classrooms into propaganda mills. While normal parents are accused of being extremists for plaiting their daughters’ hair and serving them wholesome food, the real extremists are the ones wearing the lanyards and drawing the union pay cheques.

Australia’s own education unions aren’t much better. They’ve imported the same American obsessions – gender ideology, critical race theory, climate hysteria – and are busy turning state schools into echo chambers. The difference is we still have some pushback from parents and a few brave politicians. But the pattern is identical: ideological capture first, educational failure second and taxpayer-funded radicalism throughout.

Cole Tomas Allen is the logical endpoint of decades of this nonsense. When you spend a billion dollars teaching kids that Western civilisation is evil, that borders are racist, that biological sex is a social construct and that ‘punching up’ at conservatives is virtuous, it’s just one more squirt of lube on the slippery slope to progress to murder. When you declare that ‘words are violence’, actual violence is just debate by other means.

Parents have been warning us for years. The unions’ own budgets are the receipts. The attempted assassination of a president by one of their own should be the final wake-up call. If we don’t defund this political machine and get schools back to teaching kids how to think instead of what to think, the next ‘teacher of the month’ might not miss.
