As part of our drive to keep our comment section the best in New Zealand we showcase each week an example of a top-notch comment that adds value to The BFD.

Today’s comment was written by Rebecca  Thank you Rebecca for taking the time to craft such an interesting comment.

Not content with attempting to defame the likes of Chantelle Baker, the Disinformation Project leader now sets her sights on pretty little blonde girls and other “white nationalist” memes.

“White nationalist” is of course a standard woke launch ramp towards “White Supremacist” followed by linkage to the Australian terrorist and various offensive other memes justifying hate speech legislation. In psychiatry, they label such progression as “loosening of association”; at the Disinformation Project, they call it an investigation.

The reference to “pseudo celtic” is to justify smudging all white skins into a homogenous hateful group, a logic that might be threatened if various ethnicities ever were to assert themselves. Especially the Celtic Irish who were more victimized than Maori at the time of the Treaty and after their impoverished arrival in NZ for many of them. Much easier to smudge them in with the caricature colonialists rather than allowing interest in “pseudo” celtic heritage. Whereas “pseudo Nordic” is of course a veiled reference to a certain earlier ideology that was obsessed with Nordic superiority.

If these sorts of ideas can be repeated enough, they turn into social media “data points” that can be used to prove themselves in whatever smear is planned next.

Her problem is that beauty, including daughter beauty, must be an international trillion-dollar industry for women of all colours and persuasions. It’s normal, as ought to be appreciated by a lead researcher shown here wearing bright red lipstick and prominent eye makeup. It’s also normal for mothers of all colours and ethnicities to proudly post images of their daughters in hair braids, or looking fab. Unless they’re white, in which case it’s a sign of something distasteful to be avoided according to Ms Hannah.

Perhaps the Disinformation Project needs a new sub-campaign called the Racism Project?

Ironically, one of the most popular girls’ sports in Western democracies is artistic gymnastics, a sport in which braided or closely confined hair is commonplace. As are images of millions of little girls of all hues posted by proud gymnastic mothers, or maybe even a proud father unless there’s something distasteful about that too.

A prime example would be African American multiple Olympic champion Simone Biles who often wore braids as she stormed to victory. She is regarded as a inspiration and is copied by millions of little girls all around the world, including in NZ, and became a multi-millionaire from product endorsements. It appears that the girls themselves don’t obsess about her colour at all, a behaviour that must infuriate investigators at the Disinformation Project.
