Was Elvis a Republican or a Democrat? What did Michael Jackson think about the budget deficit? Was David Bowie for or against Brexit? No doubt, just like us mere mortals, these gods of pop had their personal political views – but unlike today no one really cared what they were.

Post last week’s Trump-Harris debate, Taylor Swift, the biggest pop star in the world, endorsed Kamala Harris. The writer of such subtle and insightful epics as “Shake It Off” and “But Daddy I Love Him” just couldn’t wait any longer to let the world know her political thinking.
