The Great Divider

For one brief, shining moment in the 2000s it almost looked like America’s national paranoia over race was buried.

By the time that the 2000s were entering their middle years, Americans’ attitudes towards race had reached an all-time positive high. The first black(-ish: it being fashionable to forget that Obama’s heritage is 50% lily-white) president had been elected. If, as Fukuyama claimed, history had ended, it seemed like America’s racial obsession had ended, too.

But…then Barack Obama was elected.

If Ronald Reagan was the Great Communicator, Barack Obama was – and is – the Great Divider.

While the media pin the blame on Trump for the race-based protests across the nation, President Obama was in fact “one of the most racially divisive presidents in America,” according to Sky News contributor Cory Bernardi.

Obama’s reliance on race-baiting as political leverage has been a staple of his presidential life, from his first primary campaign.

Obama repeatedly played the Race Card against Hillary Clinton. When the Clintons started the “Birther” whisper campaign (again, a fact conveniently forgotten by media who blame it on Trump), Obama triumphantly slapped his Race Card onto the table. As Tucker Carlson points out, the Obama campaign continually smeared the Clintons as racists.

When Hillary Clinton campaigned to Indian-American voters, Obama smeared her as the “Senator for Punjab”, and circulated a memo accusing East Asians of pilfering American jobs.

As president, Obama continued the race-baiting.

President Obama “mobilised the black community against the police force” by claiming perpetrators of violence were actually victims when the police were in fact “acting in self-defense”.

Obama continually intruded in incidents involving black offenders – always taking the side against police. When his friend Prof. Henry Louis “Skip” Gates had a run-in with police, Obama immediately and publicly branded police as “stupid” and smeared them as racists. An independent review cleared the police.

When Obama deliberately intruded into the racially-charged Trayvon Martin case, rather than soothe troubled waters, he deliberately poured oil on the mounting flames. Race riots burned cities like Baltimore and Ferguson, Missouri.

“Rather than being a unifier, Mr. Obama has divided America on the basis of race, class and partisanship,” wrote the WSJ in 2010. Even Obama’s fellow liberals, like Law Professor Jonathon Turley, expressed dismay at the Obama administration’s continually meddling in open cases, “diminish[ing] the appearance of due process and fair trial”.

Even when pontificating at a memorial for police murdered by a Black Lives Matter terrorist, Obama all but spat on the coffins and called them “pigs”.

Since 2016, the Democrats and the media allies have only amped up Obama’s race-baiting way beyond 11.

Speaking of the current protests in the United States, Mr Bernardi said many of “these people do not give a hoot about black lives”.

“What they care about is upending authority, making Trump the guilty person and trying to diminish the role of law enforcement in the country”[…]

The incident sparked race-based protests across the nation many of which rapidly degenerated into looting and rioting which has been allegedly spurred on by left wing extremist group Antifa.

Mr Bernardi said “Democratic governors are failing to uphold law and order … and New York City is a case in point”.

He said the media have acted as “partisan cheerleaders” who have not presented the real situation which is “that blacks are killing blacks in America and they are attacking police officers who are in the main defending themselves and being criticised for it”.

“This is earth hour for racists”.
