On Facebook last week the Hamilton City Council boasted about their Te Awa River Path project.
Last night our Te Awa River Path Project won the Excellence in Social Impact Award, at the 2020 Infrastructure Awards. ?
The fast-tracked project re-opened a section of Hamilton’s river path and provided work for 50 people after the COVID-19 lockdown. Congratulations to our team and all those involved!
The article about the project had its comment section closed but on Facebook, a few commenters managed to call the Council out for its fake news. They included photographic evidence to reveal that the so-called award-winning project was in fact…closed to the public.
Ooops!
