My god, that’s pretty rich. Stuff is running a full-on dirty politics campaign the likes of which this country hasn’t seen before, they even proudly mention “Fire and Fury” in the article, a dirty politics hit-job if there ever was, and Stuff is running around trying to “out” any politicians who disagree with Jacinda’s policies, and trying to tell people not to vote for those candidates. And they have the nerve to say that somebody is doing hit jobs on candidates? Really?
Companies such as Stuff and NZME (publisher of the Herald) can make their own rules, as long as they’re willing to risk consequences such as loss of trust and declining readership. RNZ (and TVNZ, but let’s not go there) has no such latitude.
Those who dare challenge elite opinion cartels will always pay the price. But they can live and die with a clean conscience. What matters more?
