This Is Project Fear Unleashed

The disaffection with official America runs so deep that its condemnation of Trump was received by roughly half of the adult American population as a powerful recommendation.

The effort to portray Donald Trump as an existential threat to American democracy was dubbed ‘Project Fear’. Hilary Clinton’s campaign team, although never fully convinced that Trump would ever become a serious contender for the White House, developed ‘Project Fear’ as their own candidate’s insurance policy. If Trump started rising in the polls, then ‘Project Fear’ was there to be unleashed. The Democrats would make Trump look like Adolf Hitler’s kid brother and/or Vladimir Putin’s BFF.

It didn’t work.
