Trump Rises in Polls, Dems Crash

Trump hits record high; Democrats collapse to record low.

Trump is winning bigly indeed. The Good Oil. Photoshop by Lushington Brady.

Here’s news to send your average lefty running, screaming and crying, to their blankie fort: President Donald Trump’s poll numbers are at an all-time high, while the Democrats’ approval ratings are plumbing new depths.

This is despite the wall-to-wall barrage of ‘Orange Mad Bad’ media hysteria, a bruising trade war and a dip in economic numbers.

Three months into his second term, President Trump hit the highest approval rating he’s ever had as commander-in-chief – while more Americans say the country is on the right track than at any point since 2004, a new poll found.

It’s not all good news, of course. The economic fluctuations are disapproved by a slight majority, but Americans are still overall happy with what Trump is doing.

The survey found that voters generally feel Trump is bringing “the right kind of change” on the key issues – even tariffs.

More Americans support his changes to trade policy (41 per cent) than oppose them (38 per cent), according to NBC.

That’s despite the stock market selloff last week as Wall Street grappled with Trump’s decision earlier this month to slap 25 per cent across-the-board tariffs on Canada and Mexico as well as a 20 per cent tariff on China.

There’s a good argument that the sagging economic indicators aren’t actually anything new – it’s just that they’re finally being reported honestly. As Politico recently admitted, the media deliberately misled Americans over the state of the economy during the Biden years. While the media bigged up the Bidenomics, Americans were seeing the reality of soaring prices and collapsing wages.

Across the board, voters are saying the opposite to what the media are telling them. Which is hardly surprising, as nearly half the voters take issue with the media’s negative coverage.

On many other key issues, voters felt the same way, with Trump’s actions on the border being the most popular – 56 per cent said it was a positive change. On government cuts, 47 per cent said his changes were good, compared to just 29 per cent who opposed.

Even on his handling of the Ukraine war and NATO – policies on which he’s received significant pushback – more respondents said his actions were good (41 per cent) than opposed his actions (40 per cent) […]

NBC News’ findings mirror most other polling, with the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate of polls showing Trump with a 48.2 per cent approval rating on average.

Trump’s approval rating is significantly higher than where it stood at this point during his first term (44 per cent), per RCP, though below where former President Joe Biden was during the same time (53 per cent).

And how did that end?

NBC News recorded that a two-decade-high 44 per cent of registered voters believe that the country is on the right track, while 54 per cent believe it’s heading in the wrong direction.

While still pessimistic, that marks the most positive outlook on the country’s direction the poll has found since President George W Bush was in office 20 years ago.

It’s also a huge swing from the last administration. Last September, just 28 per cent of polled voters told NBC News that the country was headed in the right direction – compared to 65 per cent who said it was on the wrong track.

Of course, Democrats are still losing their minds: 90 per cent of Republicans approved of Trump, compared to just four per cent of Democrats. The good news, though, is that Democrats are becoming increasingly scarce. Voters are deserting the party in droves as it keels over the farthest left.

The Democratic Party’s latest approval ratings hit record lows in a pair of polls on Sunday, coming after a bruising 2024 election for the party in which it lost control of the White House and Senate.

An NBC News poll found 27 per cent of registered voters say they view the party favorably − the lowest favorability rating for Democrats in NBC polls going back to 1990. Only seven per cent of survey respondents said they said they have a “very positive” view of the party.

Another poll released by CNN similarly found 29 per cent of voters view Democrats in a positive light, a low in CNN’s polling since 1992.

When the Dems are losing NBC and CNN viewers, they’re losing the left.
